Hello I took the steering box of my 1934 rover 12,to a specialist in Birmingham,saying there was no rush .This was 8 weeks ago and the elderly man who rebuilds these is only part time and is now ill .I need to move the car soon to start spraying so it looks as though I will have to collect it if the...

Good morning,has anyone had a radiator rebuilt,I`m not too sure of mine,but I can`t really test it until I have the engine running.They arn`t like modern ones,having the large header tank on them.Len

Still waiting for the steering box to be restored.I did say there was no panic so no point in chasing them .Im going to remove what paint is required before I do any more spraying,even U/C Ive sprayed quite a few in the past in my garage but even with plastic sheeting hung all round it s impossible ...

Hello ,the restoration is coming on slowly,I think I have finally finished repairing the 4 wings now in U/C .They had been damaged I believe by the previous owner hitting the gate posts.This was due to the poor steering,I having the box rebuilt,there was 4 inches play in the wheel.I`ve just started ...

All 4 wings were damaged,apparently the previous owner had a problem with poor steering and the result was there were arguments with posts.They had been welded up but the repair isn`t as good as it could be,there are raised sections where the welding has been done.So its going to be a case of gettin...

Have you checked to make sure the air breather is not blocked causing pressure in the crank case

Flatted wings and filled dents etc,but now with an undercoat on it shows every mark there is .So many more hours to get them as good as possible

Things can only get better,I didn`t realise ,there is also a bolt underneath the rad Ready to rechrome after I`ve removed a couple of small dents,then I can pop it into my chromers.Rad removed it`s going to make a much better job of spraying the front wings Len

I`m not sure but can the chrome radiator cover be removed without taking the radiator itself out.I can see small nuts and bolts round the edged and it could be slipped over the headlamp brackets.Please has anyone been down this path Len
