Morning ,the fuel and oil level gauge is now working a treat.I don`t know why,but the wiring of the push button for changing over was completely wired incorrectly Just ordered a new capacitor for the ignition as the spark was hardly noticeable even with points set and a new coil One day the restorst...

Hello Inow have the petrol gauge working and the oil sensor seems OK but the push button on the dash to change from oil to fuel levels has been wired incorrectly one wire hanging off and the other two on wrong pins.So getting there slowly I have a bit of a problem on the ignition,I`ve fitted a new c...

Thanks for your help I found a bad connection on the fuel sender so the fuel gauge now work .So onto the oil level sender ,which for some reason is disconnected at the change over button I don`t think the previous owner chased faults up as they arose,so long as the car ran they were happy Len

Hello ,I have a switch on the dash to choose either oil or petrol petrol level.However I cannot see where the oil level switch is on the engine block,also a wire from the petrol/oil gauge has been disconnected ,which I think is the one for the oil .I have only just removed the rear seat to test the ...

Morning I had a similar thing happen on a 1935 Armstrong Siddeley I had an outlet made and fitted an electric pump .It ran all the time but I had a switch on the dash I could turn it off.I intended to fit a thermostat to control it,but sold the car before I got round to it.My pump was originally fit...

Has anyone converted a 1934 to an alternator it would be interesting to know what connections are made and whats discarded .Starting to tidy up the garage after all the work.However you seal the TENT I made some over spray escapes Len

Thanks for the drawings I know where I am now .Has anyone replaced their dynamo with an alternator ,for a 1934 car I haven`t been able to see instructions for an RF2/L10 Regulator mine isnt working as the ign light stays on all the time.There is O/P from the dynamo Len

Thanks thats great,its viewed upside down but at last I can tie my connections up to what they are
