Re: Dynamo removal

Thanks for your helpful reply. With the help of a competent friend we checked all the outputs & readings and all was in good health...in fact he made a slight adjustment to the regulator . BUT still no positive reading on the ammeter. Then I carried out a very basic check...ran the engine at 1500-20...

Rallye de Fougeres

I have just received the list of entries for this event and was delighted to see with my 12 Tourer (no 74) another one (no 166 from Wales) and a 16hp coach built drophead also from Wales no 167. I look forward to meeting you both! Should be a fun event, there are a great selection of cars. David Har...

Re: Choke control light

The plate removed had a broken Paxolin (?)strip with a terminal.
The "new" one simply has a terminal!
I will try again to add pictures!

Choke control light

I found that there was a water leak and the culprit was the aluminium casing at the rear of the cylinder head. Fortunately my spare cylinder head had one attached. I removed it to see wha sort of condition it was in and it appeared intact. I then removed the leaking one…photos attached I hope. Clean...

Re: 12hp Tourer #110 (the blue one)

Thank you for those helpful words! When the weather improves a touch I will have ago at your suggestions. I have printed out your reply as an aide memoir! Meanwhile having fitted the baseplate from the original (pretty worn) distributor to my Lucas rebuilt unit, my problems seem to have disappeared!...
