Hi Mike The 200tdi into an 80 is a relatively straightforward conversion. The engine bolts right up to the standard 80 gearbox (there are 4 studs on the flywheel housing need removing and counterboring, but the other studs all line up with the original gearbox). Hi Luli Thanks! Yes the boxes will 'reverse' which allows the self centering of the wheels when driving. It is of course hard to test properly with it on the bench compared to on the vehicle properly loaded up. I had a few early on which wouldn't 'reverse' very well but these were when I had reused ...
