Speedometer TPM (turns per mile)

I have a two 4" Jaeger speedometers, one of which has 1625 printed on the centre of the face, while the other has 1600 printed at the top (but hidden by the black circular surround). There is nothing in my parts lists or Rover books about this. Does anyone know which models have which TPM?

Re: P1 wheel stud thread

Hi Gil,
The threads are 1/2" BSF. You should be able to find the tap and die.

Re: Tool tray

No answers yet? I've confirmed that the three clips on the boot floor behind the rear seat are for the tyre pump, the third clip being for the detachable handle. There is a relevant website for anyone wanting to refurbish an old pump: http://www.vintagepumps.co.uk - giving instructions on how to mak...

Re: Tool tray

In the 1946 Rover 10 the starting handle is secured by clips inside the hinged part of the boot lid. The three clips at the back of my boot floor are too big for the starting handle. Does anyone have an original stirrup tyre pump and can supply a description or photo?

Re: Tool tray

Re: tyre pump 233283 on Luli's list of tools, does anyone know the make and specs. of the stirrup-type tyre pump fitted to 1939-47 Rovers? There are three clips for it at the back of the boot floor, so I assume that the handle is detachable, fitting in the third clip.

Re: 1935 ROVER 14 SPORTS SALOON SHOCKS

My experience with Luvax shocks on my 1936 12 tourer has been entirely positive over more than 20,000 miles. Over-filling them (higher than 3/4 inch below the filler plug) can lead to a cracked casting. Derek Stevenson of Stevson Motors reckons that more than half of those he sees are damaged in thi...

Re: Luvax Valves, Fittings and Pipe

Re: Luvax-Bijur vacuum regulators These tend to become clogged up and Rover recommended changing them every 10,000 miles. New ones are not available, so I approached Fiennes Restoration, who have re-manufactured most of the other components. Will Fiennes is a Riley enthusiast, but I believe that onl...

REGISTRATION BOOK RESEARCH

My Rover 12 "Sports 4 Seater" COA550 was first registered on 20th May 1936 by Henry Garner Ltd (formerly Moseley Motor Works) in Birmingham. The interesting history of this company, which opened for business in 1907, can be found at http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Henry_Garner. The tourer, finished in ...

Re: Instruments panel background.

[quote="luli"]Rover P2 cars had been relatively abundant in Israel during the fifties. All of them with the R prefix before the engine or chassis numbers. Today at least 7 has survived, but as a long time Rover P2 enthusiast I have known many more. All of them had a bright background to the instrume...
