Welcome to the RSR Forum, and congratulations on your purchase.
With regards to your 'stiff' engine have you disconnected the fan belt in case of seized dynamo or water pump.
Best Wishes

Re: Rewinding a fuel reserve solenoid
I was able to repair one for a P4 a few years back. The operation is the same. The coil was showing open circuit when tested, I decided to unwrap the coil to see how much wire was used and save it on another bobbin. Luckily I came across the 'break' quite soon, in fact only after a few turns were re...

Re: 29/30 2LITRE
Mike, I hope you are able to do all you need and get the car on the road. My charging problem was not very serious, I have had the original dynamo serviced, it only required new brushes and the front bearing, it is now back in the gearbox with a new chain. I intend to keep the original 3 brush syste...

Re: 29/30 2LITRE
Hi Mike, that all makes sense. I still have the stromberg (UV1) and a spare so am hoping to have enough bits to get one working. As you can see from my post I am rebuilding mine from the chassis up as I have had to replace all the wood. Hopefully will get the chassis moving under its own power this ...

Re: 29/30 2LITRE
Nice car,
looks like a 1930 2L Sportsman's Saloon . What engine does it have?
I have a 1929 Coachbuilt 2L which I have been rebuilding for some time!

Good luck, if I can help please ask.

Re: 1949 roverp3 75 new member

However you will get a better deal and in the long run lots of help if you join. All the best with your d...

Re: New Member starting a restoration project
Hello Adrian, firstly welcome to the RSR, great to have you on board, secondly well done to take on the restoration of your 12. Speaking from expereince, having separated a P2 from its chassis it is relatively straight forward. The obvious points are the body mountings on the tub and as you say you ...
