Alternative 800 expansion tank

Copied from one of the Rover 800 Yahoo groups. Thanks go to Paul Kenny for the research and information. As we know, the Austin/Rover original coolant tanks are dodgy at best and the replacements can be worse and often require a bank robbery to afford. Our Sterling cracked a tank over a year ago. I ...

A second front wheel has been added to the engine stand and it's now up for sale at £20 - including a spare "upright" and rotating head.

Re: Today (sunday) I have been mostly.................

I got my trusty welder and angle grinder out this evening, making one engine stand from two. The spare twin-wheel beam had one wheel removed completely, the other turned through 90 degrees and it is now doing service as the third "leg" of the stand. It could really do with a castoring wheel but will...

............. collecting some freebies. These were being thrown away by the maintenance company at the airport and the hangar manager ( a mate of mine) gave me first dibs. He even lent me their van to bring it all home. 43 kW space heater - fully functional and worth £300+ when new: http://i879.phot...
