If you have put on a new set of points it is worth while giving the faces a roughing up with some emery. The points can have a coating on them and the spark across is not too great, this happened to me once?

Hi when I bought my 1935 12 the carpets were held down by around 2inch brass/bronze nails with washers.The carpet had brass washers bound/fitted into the carpet, I have no reason to doubt that they are the original items as the carpet was the original, which I replaced.
