P6B Electric fuel pump

I recently bought a 1974 P6B Auto, which has had the mechanical fuel pump replaced with an extremely noisy electric pump. It sounds like there is a demented woodpecker under the bonnet and rather spoils the ambiance of the hushed V8 motor! Can anyone suggest a nice quiet replacement pump that will d...

Re: Wiring looms

Yes, we are surviving a New Zealand winter, and now enjoying wall to wall Rugby as the World Cup is played all around us!
Very many thanks for that - I just knew "sparks" was in there somewhere, but the actual name kept escaping me. I will pass it on to Gavin. Best wishes

Wiring looms

Can anyone give me the name of the Company and possibly its website address that makes new wiring looms for P2-P3 Rovers.
I have gone through all my UK Classic Car magazines and cannot find it, and a friend out here in New Zealand wants to find a new loom for his P3 that he is restoring.

Many thanks

Re: Air Filters

Well for anyone who mights still be following this rather tenuous thread, I have received and fitted a MG/Rover Air Filter Part Number PHE100461, and it fits perfectly. It replaced the FRAM equivalent of the PHE 100460 which appears to be the correct air filter listed in the Parts Catalogue. I wonde...

Re: Air Filters

I have just discovered that there does seem to be two different part numbers for the petrol engine 75 Air filters. As you say, Paul, the PHE100460 is quoted as the part number for the petrol engined filter, but Rimmer quotes PHE100461 for ALL Petrol engined 75's, and both numbers seem to be on offer...

Re: Air Filters

Hi Paul, Thanks for your response. I do find that I little puzzling as I have seen filters advertised on ebay as 254x238x50mm, and 249x228x50mm, and have been told by our local parts suppliers that only the larger ones are listed here in New Zealand. My present filter is a FRAM CA9102 which is the s...

Air Filters

Recently I bought a Rover 75, 2.5 Club SE Auto, which I am now trying to discover whether I really like or not, after owning a late model 825. However that is not why I am placing this query. I rang around our local suppliers of service parts, and quickly discovered that there seems to be two differe...

Re: Rover 10 P2 1946 chasisnr: 6110496

Unfortunately the lack of an "L" or a "R" in front of the chassis number is no indication that the car is a UK model. I had a 1949 Rover P3, which has been traced at Gaydon as having been exported as one of 50 cars sent out to New Zealand CKD and the chassis plate showed no sign of an "R". I have si...

RDX60

I recently came across mention of a prototype car being developed by MG-Rover in its final days code named the RDX60. There were a couple of rather indistinct photos of the models being developed in the magazine article. Can anyone fill out a few details on this car, was it going to be an MG or Rove...

Re: Bootstraps

I am surprised that no one has replied to this query. Firstly the straps are not leather, they are of a khaki webbing, with a hook on one end and a buckle at the other. I actually had a set in the boot of my P4 when I got it. I would be happy to photograph them and give measurements if you are still...
