Re: Dashboard

I have made two, both exactly as they were made originally. The dashboards were ply with a thin veneered surface stuck on, they were not solid wood as many have made since. Some of the originals will be woodwormy, the ply was glued with ' horse blood ' which is like a sunday roast to woodworm.

Re: No Headlining

I have discovered that the roof lining set ups are different from 1934, 1935 , 1937 and 1938 on the 10hps. Our little group of ' tenners ' has been researching this subject recently as three members are contemplating ( including me ) this part of our respective restorations. In 1934 there was a meta...

Re: Hoping to trace my P2 history

It is possible to trace the history of a vehicle, it takes a lot of detective work and sometimes a simple clue opens up a world of information. From my own perspective, my Rover 10 1934, ' Snowdrop ' which I have owned since 1980, for over 30 years I tried to find the Mullens / Hayman family who wer...

Re: SCAM using a Rover 10 1940

Thanks Andrew and Paul, Unfortunately this new prospective owner did not wait for my ok. I spotted almost straight away that the car looked too good for £2500. A tip I use is to ask for a photograph of an obscure item, like a corkscrew to be placed on the bonnet, that at least proves there is a car ...

SCAM using a Rover 10 1940

An advert using a Rover 10 p2 1940 on the Pre-War cars internet selling site is a scam, I have had an enthusiast contact me who has been cheated out of his deposit. The car is distinctive in being white, with black wings bonnet and roof, Registration number is KMC 391. Is this car current ? If so do...

Re: P2 Differential noise

In agreement with Luli, the possibility of an out of balance propshaft can cause this, also check to see if the prop shaft universal joint knuckles line up, if not this can cause an out of balance situation.

Re: 1935 ROVER 14 SPORTS SALOON SHOCKS

I had my original luvax shock absorbers reconditioned over 20 years ago, they still perform well, important not to fill the fluid to the top.
