Just a thought, the brake expanders are normally secured to the backplates by 2 studs. On other Rovers the backplate has slots rather than precise holes for the studs so the expander can move slightly. Looks like a trip to the stores is indicated!

The 10 and 12 share the same block, so it is common to bore the block out to take 12 pistons. With a 10 Cylinder head there is a useful increase in compression ratio and better performance.
