Engine/gearbox studs

I need to buy a new set of these for my 1947 10. I suspect they are the same as P4 and Series 1 Landrover. Does anybody know where I can get them? These days the earliest Landrovers seem to be from 1968!

Lucas sft 576 fog lamp

I have been watching a nice looking Lucas sft 576 fog lamp on ebay. It occurred to me that even this nice looking lamp will need rechroming to make it what I want. I looked online for a new one and there are several 'replacement' lights. Can anyone recommend one of these? Is the new chrome of good q...

Re: Rewire

Thanks for advice Tony. I bought this car two years ago when it had already been painted (really beautifully). The previous owner had not totally finished stripping it before he just gave up, but beautifully restored body. That is why I have stripped the last bits and want to start rebuilding with a...

Rewire

Now that my car is almost totally stripped of everything I want to have it rewired before starting to build it up again. I have the new Autosparks loom and have considered doing it myself but I wonder if anyone could recommend somebody who could do this? I am not an expert and wiring scares me a bit...

Door hinges

Is door hinge wear/alignment taken up by adjusting the hinge pins?
I have a low mileage 10hp with new hinge pins and not much wear where it might be expected but two of the doors are 'wobbly' when closed.
Thank you.

Re: Starter dog nut

I posted last week re starter dog nut on my 1947 10hp.
Luli kindly told me the size is 1-7/8unf.
I couldn't get one, although now I see ebay has many!
Anyway, my 48mm 3/4 drive socket did the job! It fits really well, almost perfectly.

Starter dog nut

I'm having a bit of a game trying to find a socket for the starter dog for my 10hp. Luli kindly tells me it is 1-7/8 unf.
Are there alternatives anyone knows about? Or where I can get one?

Many thanks
Mark
