Re: P3 75 Front Seat reverse /Door Panels
Finding this could be difficult as the main demand for moquette is for Jaguar colours, just as it is for many other trim items. Have you tried Martrim of Cheshire? Another possibility is to look at the range of colours available in Dralon, short runs of which can often be found at low cost on market...

Re: Fuel problems
When I acquired my first pre-war Rover 34 years ago, the advice from the previous owner was never, under any circumstances, to use the fuel reserve- make sure instead that there is always enough petrol in the tank and never let the level get really low. Having read the above correspondence, I now re...

Re: white wall tyres
The answer to the question you asked is that 195/75x16 whitewall crossplies are not made. There may, however, be a radial wsw in that size out there. Mike, our chairman, suggested that in view of that you might consider painting in your own sidewalls on standard tyres, for which task there are some ...

Re: white wall tyres
Precisely. Whitewall tyres may well suit some flamboyant American automobile designs, but offer nothing appropriate to add to the appearance of a classic Rover, an icon of British middle-class respectability. The Rover Company, reflecting the tastes of most of its customers, always avoided anything ...

Re: Tool tray
The 3 sprung clips on the back wall of the boot of my car hold the starting handle. The stirrup pump would have gone in a hinge-lidded steel box beneath the floor at the bumper end of the boot. Tool brands seem to vary a bit between different year models. The brand name on the big adjustable spanner...

Re: Unleaded in my 14?
You're either a risk-taker or you're not. It seems very likely that, with average use, everyone's so-called " lead memory " safety margin will have been used up by now. Opinion is divided on the long-term efficacy of lead additives. My own view is that one should convert the engine to unleaded compa...

Re: New Home required for 2 very nice cars
These cars look like real beauties, apart, that is, from the whitewalls on the 16SS. Let's hope someone from the club is moved to buy them. I don't like to think of auctioneers and predatory dealers making thumping great profits out of vehicles on which an unfortunately deceased member of the RSR ha...

Re: Rover Interior
You'll get the woven green union headlining for the sliding section from Woolies, but it's most unlikely that it will be a close colour match to a faded 67 year-old original as the green colour goes grey over the years, sometimes quite dramatically so. If you're having trouble matching the "vinyl-li...
