Re: Radials on a P2
jefflee's suggestion of going radial at less cost, by fitting 16" wheels to a prewar P2, is one I did consider. However, having seen a P2 thus shod at a rally some years ago, I decided that the smaller wheels simply didn't look right in place of the 17" standard. It's hard to believe that an inch wo...

Re: Radials on a P2
Thank you, Dirk, for responding to my appeal for information. I decided to fit radials to the P2 20 a few weeks ago, and first impressions are that the ride is transformed, as you have discovered for yourself. I tested the dramatically improved roadholding by briefly lifting hands off the wheel at a...

Radials on a P2
Does anyone have direct experience of using radial tyres on a P2? North Hants Tyres, long-time advertisers in Freewheel, are now importing USA-made Excelsior tyres in the 5.50 X 17 size, and I'm seriously considering changing from cross-plies. The firm was originally called "Connolly Brothers" and their mark was a letter "B" superimpose...

Re: 1940 Rover 20 Tickford Drophead on ebay
Thanks for that info. on the tyres, Luli. I don't know whether that's Hebrew or Arabic on the the licence plate of your car,(and on the wheelie bins in the background of the photo) but it sure seems to be located in a sunnier spot than the UK right now. So the Ebay auction ends with a bid of £47.5K ...

Re: 1940 Rover 20 Tickford Drophead on ebay
So this is the Stenning 20 DHC in its latest condition. As I understood it at the time, Richard Stenning sold EWK 592 to Geoff Kent because his wife put her foot down about too many cars being stored at the matrimonial home. There's been no reply to my inquiry within the club as to whether it was a ...
