Re: Vacuum Advance Mechanism components

I have the parts for the mechanism but I am not sure how they go together. I am after a picture or exploded view of these parts as they would be if you could see inside the barrel of the distributor. There is a heavy spring, a light spring, one hollow piece of brass, one solid piece of brass, a thum...

Re: Setting float height.

Hi Steve, I have a similar problem with my P3 in that it won't pick up from idle. I have posted a reply to one of your earlier posts in which you suspected the accelerator pump. You mentioned that you had invested in a replacement carb and I have asked if you have any parts you are willing to sell. ...

Re: Vacuum Port Solex 30 PAAI

Hi Steve, I have the same problem as you in that my P3 will not pick up cleanly from idle. Did you find a solution to that ? Also, where did you obtain your replacement carb ? I assume you still have have 2 Solex 30 PAAi_2. Do you have any parts you are willing to sell ? Thank you in advance. Regard...

Re: P3 Front Suspension/Steering bushes

Thank you all for your comments.
Chris mentioned Bump Stop rubbers which I do need but Scotts (Australia) don't have.
Where can I get them from ?
At the moment parts ordered from UK are very slow to arrive or not arriving at all.

Ray

Hi Max, Thank you for your response.
Do you remember how many bushes were replaced and the price for labour.

P3 Front Suspension/Steering bushes

Can anyone advise on the level of difficulty associated with replacing the front suspension and steering bushes on the P3. I am considering buying the kit of 16 bushes offered by Scotts in Australia. However, I don't know if the kit will cover all potential needs. I want to refit the wings, after Wa...

Re: Thermostat for P3

I see this is a very old post but somebody might be able to help because I also have to remove and refit the thermostat housing on my P3. (again) The first time I did this it leaked from the seal between the thermostat housing and the water pump. The seal does not seem to be sufficiently compressed ...

P3 75 Water Pump Mating Face at Block

Can anyone confirm that the Water Pump Mating Face at the block is not flat. Instead, it has a brass rectangular tube protruding about 0.5 mm on the right hand side when looking from the front. Is this normal ? I do not have a water pump gasket at the moment but from photos I've seen it does have a ...
