Re: Speed 14 steering, brakes & performance

Probably a bit academic now, for me. The car I was interested in (Speed 14 Sports tourer) has disappeared from the sale site, so has probably been sold (6 days live!) I will try & find out if it sold again to a German owner, but I have so far had no reply from the seller

Re: Newly signed in

Thank you for that information....so the tale about India was based on some facts! Not just a salesman's spiel. The car I am interested in is not cheap & difficult to go see! It is also overpriced (!!) in my view, but we may see! The Speed 14 tourers are splendid, but a later 30's 14 or larger norma...

Re: Speed 14 steering, brakes & performance

I have joined as I'm thinking about a pre-war Rover and this seems a good place to start... I have reduced my flock of Austin Sevens down to one super & quite rare 1932 AG tourer (for sale!) . The Chummy, the Vintage saloon and a ruin of a 30's tourer have all gone, so I am looking for a useable pre...

Speed 14 steering, brakes & performance

Good Morning RSR. This is my first contact with you ....so be gentle!! I am talking to the owner of a 1934 Speed 14 whose car is in very good apparent condition, but I was concerned when he said that the steering "wandered" unlike that on his Park Ward Bentley(!) where he could run straight at 80mp...
