Re: gearbox and engine parts ss exhaust for sale

Hi,
Yes my LDV Pilot is beam axle with king pins and good disc brakes,
and has p6 stainless hub caps & p6 spare wheel cover in back.
I've used a couple of LDV wheels to stand my old p2 on,
if fitted the wrong way round the tyre valve just catches .
Regards Jeff.Lee.

Re: Age of owners

Ha Ha you'll be lucky most wont tell you there name or what area they live in.
Its funny how members living outside England are always proud to let you know.

Re: No Headlining

Hi,
There is a big difference between 1938 & 1939 SS headlining fitting in the back area,
and the saloon is different again !
Cheers Jeff

Re: Original Coach Line

Hi, I've done a few coach lines and my personal choice is more 3mm - 1/8"ish, placed approx. 3mm below waistline, this is then visible on bottom section of bonnet when closed. Looking at your old rover spec, sheets it appears up to 1938 two tone colour was the norm and from 1939 on it was extra ? Re...

Re:new post

Hi,
I have some Lockheed hydraulic parts on eBay for a 1934/5 14hp. 1 3/8"pistons
I've had enquires if these are the same as P3 .
The hoses seem to be Lockheed's own thread slightly bigger than 3/8 bsp 16tpi,
How do these compare to P3 hoses wheel cylinders etc..
Cheers Jeff. Lee.

Re: Gerbox gremlin

Hi Mike, If you take the tin plate off top of gearbox (held by 2 countersunk studs) you will see the gearstick operating finger which moves the 3 shafts for gear selection. this is a common problem due to rubber under gearbox becoming perished. it is usually easily solved by adjusting with shims und...

Re: LEAKING PETROL TANK

Hi,
The tank is now off the car,
There's a couple of rusty places where it weeps through tiny pinholes which got worse when I tried to wipe off the dirt.
It may have rusted from the inside when the car was standing for a lot of years.

LEAKING PETROL TANK

Hi All,
I think others out there will have had this problem,
Can anyone comment on a remedy and/or recommend a company to renew or repair a porous p2 petrol tank.
Thanks Jeff.
