Re: tyres
Hi Neil Ask as much as you like its what were here for, in a bit after breakfast I'm going down to my garage to do some work on the old girl so will check out my tyre size for you, for the speeds we do in the P3 I think crossplys are ok as the car was originally designed for them and I’ve heard that...

Re: Unleaded Fuel
Hi Dirk I have seen this said about the P3 block being strong enough as it is but was not knowlegeable enough to have claimed it my self. Thats a good idea about the diff as well and I beleive one of the other things one can do is change the gearbox for an overdrive P4 box as well though you lose th...

Re: Unleaded Fuel

Ive even gone four or five fills and not used any additive but as I say its never pushed that hard (well ok I had a very spirited run on the ...

Re: Unleaded Fuel
The whole idea of the engine design was to make an engine that would run on all types of fuel don’t forget that back in the forties the quality of fuel could be very indifferent especially in some of the far off colonies which were seen as major markets back then so I don’t think that an octane boos...

Re: Carb problems again
A good question Neil there seems no easy way of taking it apart to give it a proper clean and like you I wonder if washing it out with paraffin would just loosen up 60 years of muck with out really cleaning it, I guessed that worked back in the day but even Rover didn’t expect the cars to be around ...
