1929 Rover 10/25 surplus oil in the back axle!

Hi All,
After a good run out in the Rover on Sunday we have discovered another issue in that we seem to have quite a large amount of oil finding its way from the gearbox to the back axle. This has always happened but has now got much worse.
The manual suggested that this isn’t unexpected but it does seem to be of a quantity that needs some attention. I’m looking at removing the torque tube and looking to see if there is some sort of fix. Has anybody had this issue and have they got any advise regarding a resolution? All comments gratefully received.
