Hello I`ve just started to refit the steering box and column ,which I`ve had rebuilt. There is a grease nipple on the top of the box and on the underside ,is an outlet for it connected to a copper tube. This tube fits into a hole on the side of the taper,on the drop armto supply grease to it ,I have never seen a taper with a grease supply, does this mean that the taper supplies movement, rather than a ball joint on the track rod end Len

Finally assembled steering and fitted recom box and column .The company who rebuilt the box said they removed the grease nipple from the bottom of the box, which feeds the pipe as it isnt require. However it was there before though I cant see how feeding grease to a taper which is locked when tightened works. But to be on the safe side I fitted a grease nipple into the part where the copper pipe fitted to feed the taper .Any answers welcome Len
