P2 STEERING BOXES

Post by davedt20 » Tue Aug 06, 2013 2:55 pm

Ive been reconditioning P3 and P4 steering boxes for some years, but, ive been asked by various P2 owners if I can do P2 boxes. I picked one up off Ebay some time ago and ive just got around to fully reconditioning it, I beleive this box is an early one, its a Marles-Weller type approx 59 1/2" long from the top of the inner column tube to the end of the drop arm. Ive had to extensively re-machine some of the internal components, but, its worked out very, very well. I understand that there are 5 different types of P2 steering boxes, but im sure I will be able to recondition all types ( Marles-Weller are the most difficult to repair ). If anyone is interested in a quote for their P2 steering box, please give me a call on 07966136890 or email me dave.dt@frankdudley.com. Dave Dudley-Toole, Birmingham.
Happy Rovering.
