Coach Lines

Can any one help me .What is the correct width for a coach line on a 1939 Rover 14.

I was never able to find a definitive width for the coach lines . I guess they varied anyway as they were painted by hand but 1/8" was recommened. The guy I found did his own thing and mine ended up a little wider than I would have hoped but I very quickly got used to it and it was so much better that without.
FYI here is some of his advice on preparing:
"As for what preparation you need to do, if you could have the car cleaned (I am sure you would anyway) but do not wax it as this would effect the adhesion of the painted pin line. I will still wipe the areas needed with a panel wipe degreaser to fully clean the bodywork prior to applying the painted pin line. If you could also ensure that no obstacles are in the way such as the soft top canopy or door handles etc. where the line may cross it would be useful, although looking at the photographs this may not be a problem. I am not sure how spacious your garage or workshop facility is but I would appreciate access enabling me to walk around the vehicle without having to move the car! Sounds obvious but you never know! "
