Radiator Cap

Post by RumblinRon » Thu Mar 22, 2018 3:25 pm

The raised ridge on the radiator cap does not centre with the bonnet centre, it's not a straight line it's about 10 degrees out, ie at 11 o'clock.
This is very annoying! Is there a easy way to adjust this, or do I really have to move the radiator ?

The prongs on the cap are adjustable - it may be that the filler hole was not correctly aligned when the rad was reconned?

It was like it when I bought the car, but after looking at it it looks harder to fix than I first assumed
. I shall have another look at the cap, I must admit I have not found how to adjust the cap yet, but nice to know you can, easier than adjusting the radiator mounting !

Cheers
