Chassis Plate

Post by achandler » Thu May 24, 2018 1:59 am

A recent visitor to our local Rover Car Clubrooms here in Nelson, New Zealand gave us a chassis plate that he had found in his garage.
Made of brass, with two small screw holes, it shows the Rover Car Company of Coventry with a stamped number of LD43302.
Does anyone recognise this number sequence, if so, can you tell us to what model it would have been fitted?
We assume it is Pre-Second World War, as it lists Coventry rather than Solihull.
Any information would be most welcome.
regards to all from the Antipodes

Hi Adrian.

It may be from a 9/20 of about 1924. The archive shows no 41440 in Hamilton NZ and 44767 in the UK.

Hope this helps
