Thanks Luli. I glean from your pics that you put your rubbers on with the steel runners off the car. In my situation I’m replacing worn and cracked old runners with new and looking at how the runner frame is bolted to the car I’m a bit loathe to undo bolts not knowing where the fastening nuts are, from what I can ascertain the nuts are inside sub frame. I have yet to remove existing rubbers that are now “solid” in texture as opposed to the new soft and pliable rubber I guess my best bet is to remove existing cover to expose the steel frame a fit replacement rubber in situ with contact adhesive etc. i have all the other fittings mouldings etc.

Thanks again for your help and visual guidance.

Mike.

the nuts are actually long pieces of steel in a cage that stops them from turning and yet allows them to self locate themselves. Use plenty of WD40. The thread is 1/4 BSF. It is very simple and self evident.

Thanks again Lula for your assistance. Job completed, yes WD 40 was needed plus angle grinder for frozen nuts. Looks wonderful and the new mats certainly lifts the cars appearance.
