P2 14 Sports - Bumpers

Post by ChrisHallard » Tue Sep 19, 2023 4:30 pm

Good evening - please forgive me if my question is naive. I’m considering the purchase of a P2 14 and I’m a little confused about bumpers.

I’ve seen images of vehicles with no rear bumper and others with them.

Can anyone help me understand? Or point me towards a document that might help?

Secondly.

A car I’m considering has a rear bumper but is not a good match to the front.

Are there any recommendations for people who could make a new one?

Chris

Hi Chris,

You may have seen some earlier ‘P1’ models without rear bumpers but I think I’m correct in saying that al the P2 models had rear quarter type bumpers with over-riders. The profile of them is much the same as the front but they curve around in line with the rear wings.

If your car has the wrong ones I’m pretty sure an RSR member will be able to help. Viking Engineering or Meteor Spares are very helpful and keep most of us going with parts when required.

Hope that helps and good luck with your purchase.
