In restoring the clock panel, I have used a slightly different method:
1- Scanned the panel in high resolution mode (6000X6000 pixels).
2- Fixed the image using "Gimp" (the free software equivalent of photoshop).
3- Printed it on a 30 micron plastic sticker
and the rest is the same. This is the restored image:
