Has anyone had any experience with sourcing a new thermostat and possibly housing for P3 75 engine? What is the best option? I haven't actually tried to get the housing off yet and am unable to say what condition it is in.
Cheers

Thermostat for P3
Re: Thermostat for P3
I would try Mike Evans or Mike Couldry for both. Housing can be a pig to get off, should have a rubber ring underneath, I know these are available, in think I might even have a spare lying around in the garage somewhere. Best of luck.

Thanks Stewart
I'll be careful with the housing then!

Re: Thermostat for P3
I see this is a very old post but somebody might be able to help because I also have to remove and refit the thermostat housing on my P3. (again)
The first time I did this it leaked from the seal between the thermostat housing and the water pump.
The seal does not seem to be sufficiently compressed to make a water tight joint.
Please advise,
Ray Lilly

Given this is the same issue/motor that 1.6 and 2l Land-Rovers have, this rubber o-ring and copper insert are widely available from Land-Rover parts houses. Part no's 09170 and 09197
