Am I correct in assuming there are no washers fitted to the cylinder head bolts

I've just pulled the head off mine this very week end so I can fit a new head gasket and none of mine have washers so the chances of being missing completely from both mine and yours is to high to be a coincidence. Steve

You are probably right Steve, but seems odd somehow. Mine is all re-assembled again, just waiting for the radiator to be recored.

finish putting mine together this last weekend and after filling with coolant and a few other checks started her for the first time in two years today and she's purring like a kitten. I've been preparing for this for weeks including a detail brake check for any leaks of seized parts all seemed OK the only fault after a run being a slight pinking at the top end of the rev range so tomorrow I'll retard the timing slightly and try again. A detail inspection shows no leaks round the cylinder head and the rads dry so looking good so far.

Need to adjust the clutch a tad but to be fair that was a job that needed doing before it went off the road two years ago. big list of jobs to catch up on now thing like the drivers door check "strap" needs sorting as the door swings open to far. the rear roller bind has stopped working and looks like a spring inside might have gone. One of the rear grab handles is thread bare and falling apart so I'll have a look around and try the suppliers to see if any one has one (Red if any one out there has a spare one) if not I'll see if I can make something out of some nice curtain tie back straps or some thing. So lots to keep me busy.
