Assistance requested

I have acquired a 1972 2000TC which I'd like to make original, but not Concourse
3 questions:
1) I have obtained all the appropriate transfers/decals for the engine bay, but cannot find any illustrations
to determine where they should be accurately placed - any suggestions?
2) I have 4 workshop manuals, which all advise the battery is in the engine compartment - mine is in the boot;
no problem, but I cannot see how the battery is anchored to the battery box - once the cover is screwed down,
the battery is still able to move about.
3) Mission Impossible it appears - front quarter vent rubbers - gone the way of the Dodo? No-one has them (in Oz)
nor can they suggest any UK supplier - is there someone that would do the tooling if a minimum (prepaid) number of
orders were guaranteed? - there must be a few leaky P6's out there!

Any help :idea: would be appreciated.

Have you tried Scotts Old Auto Rubber for the quarterlight seals?

On a P6B that I had, there was an angle-iron gadget that sat over the battery with two eyes for bolts to pass through. I can't remember where the bolts anchored though. I am sure that a bit of modifying of an off the shelf battery clamp will solve your problem.

Good luck, Dane.

Thanks, Dane - Scott's say no way - they did source some from the Old Dart, but these were perished
before they left! Good as they are, Scott's can't suggest anyone.
The only anchor points for the battery seem to be those that take the curved rods to screw down the box cover,
& these are located on either end, same as the terminals, which would possibly cause a short if the metal bar
contacted same; still, I shall have a look - maybe they are offset sufficiently to avoid such a disaster
