Afternoon all,

I picked up my latest car this afternoon, a 1990 Rover 827 Vitesse Auto Fastback in Black with a Biege interior.

The car is in pretty much A1 condition other than a few issues mostly where it's been parked up for a long period, nothing I cannot sort out :D

It looks better than the pics that Brad showed.

Well done, that really looks a nice car and great to see an 800 that doesn't have a grey interior

Thanks John, the photo's didn't really come out that well as it went over all cloudy and dark at that point. It's in good condition although needs the clay bar treatment, as it's been parked up for a year with only the very occational wash. It does have a few minor issues but nothing that worries me 8-) mostly electrical where it hasn't been used very much and it's got damp.
I do need to do something with the headlining again because of the damp, I think i'll take it out and re-cover it.

Started all the cars up this morning and ran them up to temperature, whilst doing so I took some more photo's of the Black Vitesse.

A rather frosty start.

Something this car has is a 'Cave' effect headlining :D

After fixing the squealing auxillary belt on the Si, I decided to take a look at this one, I noticed it has a small oil leak which is a pain but needs invetsigation. I then swapped out the rear light clusters.

The new light cluster on the drivers side is a bit grubby inside and looks a little darker than the other, so it will get swapped out again with a better looking one.
After I have had my brew, it's time to lube up the sunroof and window winders.

After close inspection the bodywork is really good so not too much messing there :D

Oil leak is worse than i first thought, seems to be on the near side at the front?? low oil warning symbol on the trip computer is showing, I ran it up to temperature and saw a puddle :? obviously when the oil is hot it leaks more. I am trying to fathom out where it's coming from as it's not obvious from above.

Anyway Sunroof wasn't seized, although the motor runs but nothing happened I opened the sunroof with the key and greased all the runners and moving parts still no joy.

Took the door card off the passenger side and all was well, no rust on the inside of the door skin but fired some aerosol grease in there to ward off any damp until I can waxoyl the car. Whilst I was there i greased the runners and window mechanism. All in all other than the oil leak which i must confess is worrying me the car is in good shape.
