Re: This forum
Just wondering if we have any RSR Historians on the forum?

Re: This forum
The new forum certainly has more activity than the old Yahoo one of late (or ever!) and now more active members.

Paul
Long time no see, I have spent the last 12 months having a new set of hips fitted (a bit beyond my DIY/Restoration capabilities), and am now pain free and one inch taller than when we last met. However now finished with crutches and getting back to car restoration and whilst looking for bits on the net found this Forum. I think it is superb I really hope it takes off and would like to say thank you for all your efforts, as you can see I only registered on Sunday and have already had some interesting posts.
I hope it gets a 'NEWSFLASH' in the next Freewheel when hopefully the input will increase and attract new members to the RSR
Regards Andrew

Re: This forum
There's a fair bit of discussion on the Yahoo group about the relative merits of this forum vs the Yahoo group format.
One big advantage of this forum is that when Yahoo groups are (frequently) unavailable, this forum remains active. I've not seen any downtime here yet but yahoo groups are (as I write) unavailable yet we can still get on here.

Re: This forum
That is quite typical of Yahoo Groups - I recently tried to get the debate going again but it looks like as is typical with the the RSR there are factions within it that refuse to change.
This is far supererior although it it looks like the old on will remain for the running board Rovers which the RSR has always tended to and keeping the old will will keep the status quo and divide the membership permanently until the old Yahoo members fade away

Re: This forum
We have had to move servers as the one we were using was about to 'cease to be' so I took the opportunity to update the software and do a few minor tweeks that had been bugging me, such as the time display etc. As soon as the DNS is re-registered the old URL will work as well, as will this one.
Once again my apologies but I didn't have much choice.
Paul
ps I have also designed a new web site which is temp located at
http://www.thersr.org/wp not all the features work yet but would appreciate any comments.
