75 P3 INSTRUMENT PANEL

Compliments of The New Year!
The Rover restoration continues and my attention is now turning to the interior. No real issues with the upholstery but the instrument panel is causing a few headaches.
I'd hazard a guess that after chrome plating the panel itself was screen printed or painted black with the lettering printed as the last op.
My cars panel is exhibiting minor blisters through the chrome which will require stripping and re plating prior to painting .The problem comes in re producing the various white letters. First thought was Letraset but as it's not produced any more it's a non starter ,a printed vinyl "mask" will probably look too "plastic" and horribly expensive for a one off.
Do any members have experience of restoring the instrument panel to its original standard ?
Happy Rovering for 2017 !
