Removal of instrument panel and dashboard wooodwork

Post by 5395DG » Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:46 pm

My 1948 P3 75 IS PRETTY SMART ALL ROUND BUT IF ANYTHING DETRACTS FROM ITS OVERALL PURIST APPEARNCE IS THE METALLIC THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHICH SCREWS (4) INTO THE WOODWORK. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDS TO BE REMOVED AND THE INSTRUMENTS DISCONNECTED AND REMOVED. THE METAL WORK NEEDS STRIPPING AND THEN RE-FINISHING ACCORDING TO HOW IT LEFT THE WORKS. THE WOOD WORK NEEDS REMOVING AND STRIPPING BACK BEFORE POLISHING OR LAQUERING. A BIG JOB FOR A COMPLETE INCOMPETENT NOVICE .....ANY SUGGESTIONS, HELP OR ADVICE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I HAVE BIG HANDS AND CUT THEM TO RIBBONS JUST TAKING THE CLOCK OUT. ...OUTCH!
