Firstly seasons greeting to all from New Zealand. Sorry to tell our Uk friends temperature here today (21/12/2017) 32d c or 94FH.
My question is about the correct positioning of the rear view wing mirrors. On my P2 they are placed on the door pillar RH & LH next to windscreen. I have noticed on a number of P2 photos the positioning of the mirrors on the mud guards just to the rear of the side lamps. My P2 has had a full nuts and bolt restoration and where the mirrors have been placed are totally useless. Any advice guidance greatly appreciated.

These mirrors are not standard equipment and not even factory extras. They are aftermarket equipment arbitrarily mounted by the owner. They are not included in the spare parts list.

Thank you Luli. It is as I expected. I made an error in my initial post, the mirrors have been bolted onto the doors not the body itself. I will eventually remove them. I’ve enjoyed looking st your restoration posts and pics. Well done. Can you therefore suggest the appropriate type of mirror and where it (they) should be accurately placed for authenticity.
