I have just finished my current project, a morris minor 1930 tourer and the car won the 1st prize for restoration here in Jaipur, India.
so now my energies would be directed to the Rover.

just wanted to know that did the rover p3 75 , came with wind deflector glasses , and are the wind deflectors
same in p3 60 and 75 ?

thanks
Kartik

If you mean the side windows then yes the P3 did have them fitted and the 60 and 75 should be the same size so long as they are the same body type i.e. 4 light will fit 4 light and 6 light will fit 6 light but 4 light will not fit 6 light

Hello Kartik,

Congratulations on the restoration of your Morris - it looks super!

Like many others, I'm very interested to see the progress with your P3. Have you had an opportunity to make much progress? I've a 1948 example that was exported to Calcutta when new to a garage by the name of Dewars (a small plaque remains on the dash panel). I know that Jaipur is some distance from Calcutta but it would interesting to know when and your vehicle arrived in india. I have read of another P3 in Calcutta which belongs to a Mr. Mukerjee but have not been able to establish contact with him. Please see the following link: http://www.roverklubben.se/en/p3.html

I don't know how much help I can be but if you need any photographs for reference etc then I will try and help when I can.

All the best

Matthew

Hi,
Thanks for your offer of help , I would surely needs lots of it !!

My P3 would be delivered to me shortly , maybe a weeks time, once the car is here, I will post more
pictures and update regularly.

I have already recieved my workshop manual and parts list from RSR and it would be surely of great help.
The next step once the car is here would be to focus on the missing parts , I want to go in for a ground up restoration,
removing the body from the chassis and then proceed further.

Dont want to give myself any deadlines as they seldom work !!

Finally I was able to secure the car today.
It looks like a big, long but surely enjoyable task ahead.

The list of missing parts is long , I will take a few weeks just to sort out the bits.
I will let the pictures do the talking for now.

What would be the correct part number for the P3 Headlamps ? were they Lucas ?
and what would be the diameter of the correct headlamps.

I have just discovered that my car has the Lucas M141 fitted, are they the correct ones?

Update:

We have started the work on the car, its a massive task to bring this car to it former glory.
over the last few months I have been able to import a lot of parts from the UK,
more or less all the critical parts which were missing are now with me.

Right now I am in the process of removing the body from the chassis, the engine was already out of the car
and is now being worked on, hopefully in the next two months we should be able to fire the engine
and restore the chassis which, is in excellent condition for its age and neglect.

I will post some pictures in the days to come.

cheers
Kartik
