Hi from Jaipur , India ( Car no 8412064)

Post by kartik » Wed Nov 30, 2011 4:42 pm

Hi,

My name is Kartik and I am in the process of acquiring a Rover 1948 here in India ,
the car has been offroad for many years, and is missing many parts, critical amongst them is the Inlet /Exhaust manifold.

I donot yet have the chassis number and other details, but will soon get them.
would it be easy to find a suitable Inlet/ exhaust manifold.

here is a link to the pictures:

I am sure with the support of the forum and members, I'd be able to restore this car to its former glory.

regards
Kartik

Hi Kartik,

welcome to the forum, glad you made it. I am sure you will get lots of help from the forum, it will be interesting when you have more details to see when the car left the UK.

Regards

Hello Kartik,

The car you show in the pictures appears to be a 1948 or 1949 P3 six light. It will not be hard to find the parts you need in the UK. Even here in the USA parts for P3s are available from time to time.

Good Luck

841 indicates it is a 1948 75 6 light saloon. Home Market
If it has an R in Front it would indicate it is an export model RHD.

Hi Kartik,

I think everyone on the forum will be cheering you on through you restoration!
May I suggest you develop a plan for your restoration and then share it with the forum. I am sure we would all enjoy commenting on it and then hearing about your progress as you work on the P3. I know I would!
