Update :

We have been working on the chassis, I am replacing the old springs with new ones,
awaiting suspension kit, the chassis has now been repaired and painted.

Work on differential and rear springs has begun, also working on the underside of the car.
The plan is to completely restore the chassis , gearbox, differential, etc and the the underside of the car.
The next step would be to reunite the body with the chassis and then mount the engine for further work.

Some pictures.

It will be easier to put the engine in first, then drop the body on. It's not impossible to do it the other way round but the 75 engine and gearbox is quite a lump. I put my engine and gearbox in after the body was back on but if I had the choice I would do it the other way round next time.

You are absolutely right !! and thankyou for the suggestion,
will first mount the engine and then re-unite the body with the chassis.

Thanks again

Hi All,
An update after a long time. We have been working slowly but steadily on the P3 and now the engine is back in the car,
we fired the engine couple of weeks back and it sounds sweet.

Right now working on the brake lines , Body has been bolted back on the chassis, and has recieved a coat of the primer.
once the brakes are done, the next line of action would be to try to drive the car for the first time in 40 years.

lets see how it goes, will report more later

a link to flickr, have uploaded two latest pictures.

Well done Kartik, good progress and you have managed a lot in only a year. Look forward to hearing how you get on with the test drive.

Was not happy with the Bonnet and the radiator placement, the car was drooping from the front.
so worked hard over the last few days and got a better result.
does the shape of the front of the car look good now ?

Hi
after a long time, I just wanted to know if someone can help me with the specifications for crank bearings,
the ones in my car would need work, what is the standard size of main bearing and pins.
