Your comments noted fyg I have built this data base up over the last 10 years and it now lists nearly 5,000 different owners of the various Rover cars from 1904 to 1949, it has been quite time consuming. There is no great secret about the archive database and owners come onto me from time to time for the history of their car and what other similar models are in the club, as you did John.
To do what you suggest would be very interesting but again it would be very time consuming job, maybe something for the committee to think about for the future ????

Good moring Andrew,

You can put my 1934 10 down as scrapped. It went to Mike Couldry a few weeks ago to be broken up for spares and I believe some parts have already been used by a member. Sad to see it go really as that was the reason I joined the RSR over 30 years ago but it had just got beyond restoration. Never mind, it gives me one less car to focus on so the others will get a bit more time and the parts might help out other owners.

I note the fate of your 1934 10 and amended archive records accordingly, as you say sad as one is at the time this is the unfortunate end for some of our cars.
I fear unfortunately the current 'credit squeeze' may well expedite the scrapping of such uneconomical restoration projects, both Rovers and other makes.
There is an interesting 1936 Rover 12 restoration project on ebay at the moment, it sold recently on ebay for £1,785, but has reappeared again today with the same seller basis 'buy it now £1800 or near offer', presume original buyer reneged??

There is also a 16ss which is in bits in ebay Australia (only a handfull of cars older than my P2) standing a $999au or around £444
