Hi

I'm Melbourne based and own a registered late 85 Vanden Plas. I hope to acquire more Rovers in the future.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi all - thanks for the quick responses.

OK, posted hopefully is an image. This car has only recently become registered after me rescuing it from a parts dealer's yard and then faffing about with it for 2 years. Hopefully the reco'ed top end swap-over from my previous SD1 will prove to be a good job. It now runs a Range Rover 'vitesse' type manifold instead of the 'federal' one that came on the Aus and US cars.

I am a member of the RCCA here, and other Rover-related forums, but I joined this one mainly to research the Speed 14 Streamline a little more. However I'm thinking I'd like to also look into the P5 3 litre coupe (not V8), as it seems to be a pinnacle of Rovers achievements with one of its own engines.

But, really, I just dreaming at the moment.

G'day Daniel, The VDP looks good. I have (among other Rovers) a 1982 S.E., but I'm based in South Gippsland so do not get to many RCCA events. Hope to see you at one one day.

Hi Dane

Interesting. I see from the RCCA Vehicle Register you have many Rovers, including two P4s. I learnt to drive in a P4 95 some 20 years ago.... It was my father's daily-driver.

Cheers,
Daniel
