Hi Roverists,
For the Dutch registration of my car it is important that I can show a stamped chassisnumber.
It would be very helpfull for me to know where to look for it, I may have to remove some paint...
Regards, Hans.

Re: P2 1936 chassisnumber
Not sure if the 1936 chassis number is in the same place as the 1947
If you click this link and scroll to the bottom of the page it shows where the 1947 number is.
Hope this helps

Re: P2 1936 chassisnumber
Thanks,
But I have this info about the postwar models.
A Dutch 1936 Tourer owner told me on his car it is somewhere under the left frontdoor, but the car is not near his house and he could not easily go and have a look.
This is a completely different place, so before I start removing paint...

Mike Couldry gave me this answer:
"Chassis number - pre-war Rover chassis are not stamped with a number at all."
