Hi and best wishes to all, I’m Eric based in Essex and I’ve always liked the Rover P2 (my art teacher at school, nearly 60 yrs ago, had one) and now I’ve finally got one, don’t like to rush things, A 1937 Rover 14 saloon, so I thought….better join the RSR club. The car itself was fully restored back in the ’90’s although I don't think the engine was done, judging by the state of it now, but at 81 years young, body wise it’s pretty good. My 1st pre war car.
My idea was to have a car I could just tinker with and keep clean……..so what did I buy, one with the engine in lots of bits in lots of boxes! Ho-Hum.
It’s been some 45 years since I've rebuilt an engine (1952 Wolseley 6/80) so I guess I may be asking for some help. The car came with the club’s workshop manual and a 1934 - 1940 “Rover spares” these two items make life a whole lot easier.
I’ve already been in touch with Mike & Sue at Meteor Spares, very friendly, helpful people.
Best regards to all.
