1936 Rover 10
At the SVVF Champion of Champions this year which was held on 1st June in Fraserburgh I saw this beautiful 1936 Rover 10
The owner told me he had recently purchased it and it had never been restored

Re: 1936 Rover 10
I am sure I read an article about this car a couple of years ago and it's history/ownership was under some dispute. I kept a copy of the article but I have not got it with me, I'll check it out when I get home.

That would be great Stewart, It is now residing in the northeast of Scotland
Re: 1936 Rover 10
Yes, it was in the same part of the world when the article was written. I asked Andrew McGovern (at least I think it was Andrew) if the club knew about the car because the article implied that it was a new discovery but that was when I discovered that there had been a dispute over the legal ownership. I think the original article was in the Aberdeen Press and Journal. I know I still have a scan of the article because I came across it last time I was at home but I am not sure if I still have the email trail because I suffered a PC crash about two years ago and lost a lot of old emails.
Re: 1936 Rover 10
Hope you can find the article.
The car is in amazing condition and looks better in the flesh than it does in the pictures

Hi Stewart
Welcome to the Forum - John is correct he did speak to me about the car as did 1 or 2 other people from Scotland including the new owner, another John, who lives in Fraserburgh and is a club member - this car was not previously known to the RSR.
Regards
Andrew

Re: 1936 Rover 10
Have you still got a copy of the article I sent you, it must have been about 5 years ago? I will not be able to post it on here for another week unless my wife can find it on our computer at home. I can remember there was some story about it being discovered in a garage in Glamis having belonged to some elderly lady who lived down South and had only used the car on her visits to Scotland. I cannot remember now who told me about the doubts over the ownership, I thought it was you but if it wasn't then I'm stumped.
Re: 1936 Rover 10
Here is the article which I am sure is about this car. I had to shrink it to try and fit the forum page, if you cannot read it I have posted a larger version at http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww34 ... over10.jpg" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Re: 1936 Rover 10
Thanks for that Stewart, it seems Evan Duncan has sold it on as this was not the person I met at the Fraserburgh Show
Re: 1936 Rover 10
Hi John, I also noticed that between the two photographs the car has aquired a Pilot type radiator mascot.
