I am about to have the footwell vents reinstated on my '39 14 DHC. They were previously removed/sealed over decades ago and I think this may have been becasue there was some corrosiion where water was getting in. Would there have been a rubber seal on the outer flap originally? If so anyone know the profile?
If not, I plan to fit something anyway (it should be invisible) so any other suggestions welcome
