Rover offered reconditioned exchange engines for P2 models well into the 1950s, these units had part numbers in the 24556x range.
Somewhere I have seen a listing of which number refers to which engine, but can I find it?! It's possibly in the 46-7 service notes which I can't find.
I have a couple of such engines which could be 14hp or 16hp, and short of taking the head off have no way of knowing which they are. I might add the original engine number has been ground off, and I would not trust the stamping in the head.
Can someone lay their hands on these numbers please?

Have answered my own question at last. The part numbers for reconditioned engines are given in Service Newsletter 78A of April 1957.
