Re Striker plate Adjustment

I have just completed adjustment on three of the four doors that would not shut correctly, after first replacing all the brass cones on the hinges and then adjusting the striker plates, this in itself was a long job on one door where I had to drill out the two screws in the elongated holes first then tap them out and fit new machine screws and then to drill out the two screws that do not have elongated holes behind them, done in this sequence to make sure the plate behind the a frame did not disappear inside the body work
After much adjustment and sessions of opening and shutting 3 doors I think the neighbours are happy that I have now got doors that shut without slamming, thanks to all the help on this

Re Windscreen rubber etc.

Its a long chance but would another car manufactures screen fit a Rover, say a Morris ten etc. I know pressed steel company manufactured bodys for several models including Rover, is it possible they standardised the wind screen opening part of the steel pressing ?

Regards

Mike
