I think there is a 0 missing from your Registration No, BG 7208 is the correct one???

This car first came into the RSR in 1981 whilst in the ownership of Paul Nethersole in Ledbury, not sure from when he first owned it but he sold it in 2002 to Ray Bardsley in Ledbury, who then sold it on to you in May 2003.

That is all the history that the RSR has on its Pre 1950 Archive data base, and I am sorry we can't help you with earlier ownership

Sorry I missed the 0, Paul owned it from 1972 I have some photos from him we are in touch with each other. Sadly to say Ray died in 2013 http://www.justgiving.com/remember/51460/Ray-Bardsley Regards Iian

Thanks Chris C
Following your advice on earlier posting.
I have contacted Essex Records Office who are able to provide a copy of the original owner etc for HPU 515. Registered in 1939.
Thanks Mark R

Hi Rich, try the following:
LANCASHIRE
Lancashire Record Office, Bow Lane, Preston, PR1 2RE. (01772 533039)
However, Southport vehicle records may be lost, as they should be held by Merseyside
Record Office in Liverpool, but it's worth a call to Preston.

I tried Preston and Liverpool without luck. Next step is to try a picture in the local papers up there.

Have you tried www.kitheadtrust.org.uk/ ? I've not had a lot of luck with them myself but I know some people have. They make a small charge but if they cannot help you then you get your cheque back.

I had looked at their website but they list Southport (where mine was registered) as 'all records destroyed'. Thanks anyway.
