dumb iron bolt

Post by Vince » Tue Mar 03, 2015 11:49 am

Hi folks.
The bolt that goes into the front of the dumb iron on my 37 10 has snapped off and I therefore need to drill and retap

Does anyone know what size thread it is so I can buy a tap to suit.
Thanks

In 1939 - 47 models it is a 1/2 X 3-5/8 long BSFset-bolt, pn 01273. I assume, but not sure, that it is the same in earlier models.

Thanks for that.
So I need a 1/2" bsf tap.
I'll get online and see what I can find.
Thanks again.
