New Home required for 2 very nice cars

Post by paul williams » Thu Nov 19, 2015 5:00 pm

Earlier this week Mike Maher and myself went to extract a couple of vehicles from where they had been stored for a couple of years. They used to belonging to an RSR member who has passed away and the family are keen to dispose of them.

Vehicle 1, is a 1933 Rover 10 Special, it is in excellent condition and ready for the road and would make a lovely show car. It has been extremely well cared for and the exterior and interior are in beautiful condition.

Vehicle 2, is a 1947 16 SS. This vehicle is also in excellent condition through out requiring very little work to make it an excellent show car.

The family are keen to dispose of these cars as soon as possible and are contemplating sending them to auction, if you would like to buy either of these, or would like more information please either PM me or send an email to it@ thersr.co.uk (remove space). They are located in the West Midlands and are drive-able.

These cars look like real beauties, apart, that is, from the whitewalls on the 16SS. Let's hope someone from the club is moved to buy them. I don't like to think of auctioneers and predatory dealers making thumping great profits out of vehicles on which an unfortunately deceased member of the RSR has lavished so much love and care over the years. Far better to keep them in the club family of true enthusiasts.

To add to the story, the 16SS has now been sold and is going to a Rover Enthusiast in Northern Ireland.

This is a picture taken on a very wet and windy night of the car starting the journey to it's new home.

Forget about Dropbox. Have used Photobucket. See attached photos of car arriving home.

Marvellous photos! It's great to see that HOM has come HOME once again to a caring owner.
