I have now got to the point where I need to remove the instrument panel and wood dashboard for refurbishment.
I have managed to remove the heavily rusted screws only accessible with the windscreen open, the wiper knobs, and the rather numerous nuts that hold the instrument panel in place ( except the one I suspect at the bottom of that panel) but I have not yet worked out how to remove the knob for the Freewheel. There is a nut in the centre that I have removed but the knob is still firmly attached and I don't want to break anything by trying to force it. Can anyone advise how to get it off?
I rather suspect that I should have started off by removing the parcel shelf, but that will just have to be done next so that I can see the lower attachments for the instrument panel.
Any advise will be most welcome
regards to all
P2 Dashboard strip down
Re: P2 Dashboard strip down
What you need to do is remove the water temperature / oil pressure gauge, speedometer drive, freewheel cable and disconnect the loom. See a description here: http://wp.me/pXLKy-26d.
